Chilkur Balaji Temple:

Chilkur Balaji Temple, commonly known as Visa Balaji Temple, is Lord Balaji’s ancient Hindu temple on the banks of Osman Sagar in Rangareddy District. It is one of the oldest temples constructed in Rangareddy Dist. during the time of Madanna and Akkanna, the uncles of Bhakta Ramadas, in Hyderabad Dist.

This Chilkur Balaji Temple has no hundi and does not welcome any money from devotees. VAK Books with religious news are available here, also known as the Voice of Temples. This is one of India ‘s special temples without a green channel or VIP privileges. The Jalaram temple in Virpur (Rajkot), Gujarat, is the only other such temple. This temple battled and earned the freedom to remain outside the influence of the government. Ramanuj Kot, a temple in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is the only other such temple.

Visa Balaji Temple :

On a visit, the devotee goes through the regular prayer practises, including the inner shrine ‘s 11 circumambulations, and makes a pledge. After the wish is fulfilled, devotees then walk around the sanctum sanctorum 108 titmes. The majority of devotees’ wishes are linked to visas, so Chilkur Balaji is often referred to as ‘Visa’ Balaji.

The god of Chilkur Balaji is very popular for visas abroad, so it is generally referred to as the god of visas. A lot of people come here to pray for visas.

The 11 circumambulations reflect the creation’s secret, 11 meaning “1 soul and 1 body,” uniting both dedication and complete determination to satisfy desire, dedicating to the lord; there is no second, everything is god. 1 represents the Life in the 108 circumambulations, Almighty, Deity (Paramathma, Visa Balaji in the devotee ‘s minds), 0 represents Creation (Illusionary Planet, Jagath) and 8 represents the time it takes for the human body to come to this universe-8 months (Jivatma).

Nearly 75,000 to 1 lakh disciples visit Hyderabad’s Chilkur Balaji temple each week. During the occasion of Anakota, Brahmotsavams and Poolangi, the number of visitors rises by various folds.
